“Cove and Drake’s Bay-Pt. Reyes” (18 X 24 in)

This is the view looking back from Chimney Rock. The view down is of an inaccessible cove on the ocean side with some sunning seals. The waves going in and out leave lines on the sand. In the distance, one can see an old farm house and the calm of Drake’s Bay to the right. The white cliffs reminded Drake of his home in England. This painting is of winter, when the rains and moisture from the ocean allow the lush greens of grasses and other vegetation to dominate.
