“Breaking Away” (18×24)
Sometime I enjoy bringing more whimsy into some of my paintings. The image is simple…a clothes line with clothes pins set against a tree shadow on the ground. The rainbow of colors of some of the pins make the average wooden ones look pale and anemic. The normal pins are all in “lock step” fashion (holding tightly on to the line…one blindly following the other. One of the vibrant pins has broken away from the others to find its own way and two more are swinging and beginning to break free from the crowd. The questions are: Is there enough time and will they make it?
