“SELF PORTRAIT”
This is a painting that I did when I first started doing watercolors. As you can see by the date this is an “old” painting. (It seems to make a difference to some people if paintings are “old “ or “new”; I no longer date my work in that manner. I want people to connect to the image on a timeless level) This is my first (and only) self-portrait. I did it from a photo a friend from Australia had sent me. I worked from a black and white photo and did not have the creative ability to add color. For the most part it worked, but overall, I have a long way to go.
