“WAYWARD”
At one of my exhibitions I was introduced to some friends of friends. Through our discussion of art in general and my art in particular, I discovered that they enjoyed my art. On my business card it says that “commissions are welcomed”. In response, they came up with this idea of me painting a watercolor of their boat in exchange for a weekend getaway to a private cove on Santa Catalina Island aboard their 38 foot Bayliner. It sounded like a fabulous idea so I took them up on their offer.
To make a long story short, my girl friend and I went down to southern California, met them and cruised from Marina Del Rey out to Catalina. We had a fantastic time…seeing dolphins, snorkeling, eating delicious food as well as meeting other members of their yacht club. They were gracious hosts and it turned out to be an unforgettable experience. Little Geiger Cove was truly a beautiful and enchanted place.
